2025 – Annual Review

Today we had our annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest and Holiday Party for staff at eQuilter.com. We feel so lucky to have such a great crew to help us run the company. Plus they are a lot of fun during the holidays. This is not the whole staff, but it includes those who pulled out their Xmas sweaters for the annual event today.

2025 has been a busy year. As I have pursued more of a full time art career, on top of still having some duties as owner of eQuilter.com, my schedule has been very full. This year I gave 7 lectures, attended 2 weeklong retreats, was the featured artist at 2 quilt festivals in Asia, and attended 4 exhibit openings with my work. I am also the venue coordinator for a new group of artists – “Soul Stories”. I currently have 8 pieces out traveling or accepted for upcoming exhibits, and 4 new pieces hopefully traveling soon.
I appreciate my husband Paul and our manager Dijana for taking more off my eQuilter plate this year, so I could pursue my artwork more. As I review all the travel and lectures from this last year….wow I did indeed have a busy year! To some degree I have kept busy for my mental health. The chaos of our country, and the world, are very stressful. Having worked with several non-profits over the years, as our company raised over $2million for a variety of organizations, seeing so many of these torn down over year has been heartbreaking. So, I do what I can. I make activist art, I give lectures about the power of art and activism, and I talk to people about these things wherever I go.

I remain committed to speaking out in 2026, for those who do not have a voice. Artists and non-profits who wish to collaborate should reach out to me and we’ll start a conversation. 2026 is going to be another challenging year but it will bring many opportunities to get involved to facilitate change, and healing. Don’t sit on the sidelines. Join those of us fighting for threatened species and wild habitats, abused and displaced children, and those in our communities who are targeted because they are ‘different’.
We are all ONE. And LOVE is always the answer. Pass it on…..
